Three Towns Bottles CD-ROM

 

 

This item is the recently released “Three Towns Bottles” CD-ROM Version 4.0 which is the latest, fully revised version of the pictorial introduction to the bottles of Plymouth, Devonport and Stonehouse in Devon. It provides a wealth of information on the local companies and a great many of their bottles.

 

The CD includes;

 

-         Around 400 Photographs and illustrations, including archive photos, contemporary advertising material and colour photos of around 350 local bottles and pot lids.

 

-     Gazetteer of mineral water companies, brewers, brewer’s agents 1844 – 1970 with wine & spirit merchants and ale & porter merchants 1844 – 1919.

 

-         Gazetteer of chemists / druggists / apothecaries 1844 – 1919 (this data is greatly expanded upon in the Chemists – Plymouth & Cornwall CD-ROM)

 

-         Individual sections on over 130 companies and chemists

 

-         Supersize facility on most of the illustrations to allow detail to be viewed.

 

-         Start-up instructions on sleeve inlay and User Guide to less obvious features such as “supersizing” the illustrations.
